Pretty painting of a female cardinal, one of the most beloved birds in the USA. This piece is a mixed media painting; it has oil paint, handmade paper and wax on a cradled panel. The words, "I love you" are written on the right side of the painting, under the branch in the middle. The texture is visible on this painting, very beautiful to behold in real life. There is nothing like an original painting. It is wired and ready to hang and the sides of the painting are painted black, so it stands out against the wall.
This piece would make a wonderful companion piece to "Male Cardinal ( Je t'aime)", because I think of the two cardinals as a couple.
