Nancy Calcutt is a mixed media painter whose artwork has been featured in solo and group exhibitions across the United States, winning  numerous awards  and honors.  Calcutt earned a Bachelor of FIne Arts degree in Painting from Austin Peay State University and a Master of  Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Mississippi. Calcutt is a seasoned art professional as well as an experienced art teacher,  having taught for many years at colleges and universities.

Calcutt's awards and honors include two Best of Show awards, an artist development grant, a purchase award  from the Pastel Society of America and artwork that is part of permanent collections such as Binney & Smith Corporation.

Calcutt has had one-person shows at several galleries in the United States, including Bry Gallery at the University of Louisiana in Monroe, Louisiana, Mississippi Cultural Crossroads Gallery in Port Gibson, Mississippi and the City Hall Rotunda Gallery in Paducah, Kentucky. Her work has been featured in many juried group exhibitions including, the Pastel Society of America, New York, New York, the National Oil & Acrylic Painters' Society, Osage, Missouri, the Masur Museum of Art, Monroe, Louisiana, the Leu Gallery/ Belmont University, Nashville, Tennessee, Cottonlandia Museum, Greenwood, Mississippi, Janice Mason Art Museum, Cadiz, Kentucky,
the American Academy of Equine Art, Lexington, Kentucky and the M. Francis Doggrell Gallery, Memphis, Tennessee. In addition, her work has been included in the prestigious Larson Biennial National Drawing Competition. One of Calcutt's most distinct honors was to have her work travel to Australia with the "Works on Paper Exchange Exhibit" at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia.

In 2003, Calcutt and her musician husband moved to Paducah, Kentucky to be part of Paducah's nationally recognized Artist Relocation Program.
